Animal Gods and dungeons

Quick answer

Animal Gods sit at the end of procedural dungeons. The current build references three of them through a quest chain added in August 2026 that begins by talking to the Lord. Bring a pet whose element counters the fight and expect the first attempt to hurt.

The bosses are animals, and they are optional until they are not

Wildaria's headline fights are Animal Gods — oversized versions of the wildlife you have been taming all game. They are tied into the main questline, which the developer describes as a struggle between civilization and nature that branches into different boss fights and allegiances depending on the choices you make.

Two structural facts are worth internalising before you go looking for one:

  • The dungeon is the gate. Gods are reached through procedural dungeons rather than found standing in a field. You delve, you clear, you meet the boss at the end.
  • The quest is a chain, not a menu. The August 2026 alpha patch added a "Slay All 3 Animal Gods" quest that starts by talking to the Lord — which tells you both how many headline gods exist in the current build and that the chain runs through NPC conversation rather than a boss-select screen.

What we know about the structure

ElementWhat the builds show
CountThree Animal Gods are named in the current quest chain ("Slay All 3 Animal Gods"), added in the August 2026 build.
AccessProcedural dungeons — the dungeon layout generates, the boss is the payoff.
RewardEpic loot. Loot and dungeon depth are described as scaling together, so a deeper delve is worth more.
ChoiceAllegiances and boss fights are framed as branches of the main quest, and the developer says the outcome of those choices is intended to affect the World of Wildaria over time.

How to prepare for a god fight

Nothing here is a published damage formula — the developer has not released one, so treat this as the shape of the fight rather than a numbers guide:

  1. Bring the right element. Enemies in Wildaria have elemental behaviour, and a champion fight punishes a one-note loadout harder than a field skirmish does. A pet with a countering ability plus a weapon that covers a different element is the baseline.
  2. Level the pet you are actually bringing. A high-level pet with the wrong kit is worse than a mid-level one that matches the fight.
  3. Clear the dungeon with the god in mind. Do not spend your consumables on the trash on the way down; the procedural dungeon exists to drain you before the boss.
  4. Expect to lose the first attempt. In the alpha builds these are the hardest fights in the game by a wide margin, and the dungeon has to be re-run if you fall.

Dungeoneering, for its own sake

Even setting the gods aside, procedural dungeons are where the loot lives:

  • Layouts generate, so there is no memorised route to run — bring a light source and expect to backtrack.
  • Wildlife inside is dangerous in its own right; the store page calls out having to defend yourself from it before you even reach the boss chamber.
  • Epic loot is the reward for depth. There is no published table of drop rates, and anyone publishing one right now is making it up.
